Chicago Bears to promote Sadowski to scouting director

Though they have yet to make it official, the Bears are expected to promote their senior national college scout, Mark Sadowski, to college scouting director, replacing Joe Douglas, who has been hired as the Philadelphia Eagles' personnel director.

Sadowski has been with the Bears' scouting department for 11 years, starting as their Southeast area scout. He has 17 years of NFL experience. The Chicago native attended St. Rita High School and played safety at Tulane.

Douglas spent just one year with the Bears after 15 years in the Baltimore Ravens' scouting department. He will oversee the Eagles' pro and college scouting departments under general manager Howie Roseman.
