Conditions that produced Hitler similar to today

May I respond to Joyce Becker Lee? It is most frightening that Donald Trump is saying what a lot of people are thinking. There is strong similarity to 1936 Germany when the German people elected Adolf Hitler into power.

Hitler said many of the same things that Trump is saying. The people were thinking the same things that many people are thinking now in this country.

Among the first things that Hitler did was to abolish democracy, free speech, and opposition to the Nazi party.

Two years later, the world was at war. People do not learn from history and continue repeating the same mistakes. If Trump is elected to the presidency, then the people will get exactly what they voted for and it will be terrible, as it was for the German people who elected Hitler into power.
