Hampshire-Henpeck HCE to meet May 17

The Hampshire-Henpeck Unit of Home and Community Education will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the Heartland Bank, Route 72 and Warner, Hampshire. The hostesses for this meeting are Peggy Gross and Geraldine Rizik. The 98th annual meeting of Kane County Association for Home and Community Education will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the Mill Creek Golf Club.

The Lesson for Living/Learning, "Simplify Your Life by Clearing the Clutter" will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Kane County Extension Office, 535 Randall Road, St. Charles. Barb Mursu and Mary Ebert will be attending this meeting. All are invited to attend. The June meeting will be a luncheon with updates will be forthcoming.

At the April meeting, two books were presented to the Hampshire Library in memory of club member Doris Klock. Also present at this presentation was a representative of the library and Doris Klock's two daughters, Marla Peterson and Marcia Van Hooijdonk.

The Lessons for Living/Learning were given by Peggy Veach on "Super Foods"; Pat Miller on "Hold That Thought"; and Mary Ebert on "The 5 Ingredient Fix."

Hampshire-Henpeck HCE are members of Kane County Association for Home and Community Education. Its mission is to enhance the lives of individuals and families through quality, educational programs and experiences, encouraging responsible leadership and service to the community.
