Roselle man gets 4 years for beating female companion, taking her car
A Roselle man was sentenced to four years in prison in exchange for his guilty pleas to a robbery and a domestic battery that occurred last October in Hoffman Estates.
Prosecutors say Daniel Jordan-Bainer, 23, became angry after his female companion refused to drive him to Chicago.
Jordan-Bainer took her keys and cellphone and punched, kicked and knocked her down, prosecutors said during his bond hearing last year.
Jordan-Bainer was sentenced to four years in exchange for pleading guilty to robbery and three years in exchange for his guilty plea to domestic battery, court records show.
The judge ordered the sentences served concurrently.
Jordan-Bainer, who received credit for 199 days in custody, must complete at least 50 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
