Arlington Heights gas station robbed

Arlington Heights police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint Sunday morning.

The robbery took place at 11:45 a.m. at the Mobil station at the corner of Wilke and Algonquin roads, Arlington Heights police said. The man displayed a large revolver, handed the clerk a gray plastic bag and demanded money. He went on to tell her to lift the drawer to make sure no additional money was under there, police said, before fleeing south across Algonquin Road on foot.

Anyone with information should call 911 or Arlington Heights investigations at (847) 368-5300.
