DPOE's Miceli honored as Advocate of the Year

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Des Plaines Office Equipment Co-owner and Vice President Vic Miceli has been honored by the Small Business Advocacy Council as its Advocate of the Year.

Miceli was recognized at the SBAC Annual Advocacy Dinner and Awards Ceremony held recently at the Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park. The event drew business owners from across the state to celebrate the SBAC's successes achieved during the past six years. The Small Business Advocacy Council (http://www.smallbusinessadvocacycouncil.org) was established in 2010 and currently represents over 1000 businesses in the Chicagoland area.

Since 1986, Victor Miceli and his brother, Chip, have provided the second generation of company leadership for the company that their father, Vincent Miceli, founded in 1955. Victor Miceli's work at Des Plaines Office Equipment is assisting companies in the Chicagoland/Elk Grove area in discovering their unaudited cost of their office output devices. He works with entrepreneurs on a daily basis helping them reduce the costs of operation. His programs and those of his company save customers between 10 percent and 20 percent of costs in this area of their business.

He is active in a number of area business organizations, including Business Executive Association, Schaumburg Business Association, Italian Chamber of Commerce, Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, and Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. He additionally serves on the board of directors of the SBAC.

"We are all very pleased that Vic has been recognized for this high honor by the SBAC. He is a tireless advocate for small businesses throughout the state and the nation," Miceli said.

The SBAC is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization and is a nonpartisan, member driven organization that promotes the success of small business through political advocacy, support services and educational programs.
