Electronics recycling event in Mundelein May 24

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will host a one-day electronics collection for business, schools, institutions and local units of government from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 24, at the Mundelein public works facility, 440 E. Crystal St.

A $20 fee for televisions and $15 fee for cathode ray tube-style monitors will be charged, but all other all other acceptable electronics will be collected at no cost. Acceptable items include: keyboards, computer mice, fax machines, personal computers (including tablets), small scale servers, large/enterprise servers, printers, copiers, scanners, cable/satellite receivers, telephones, cellphones, stereos, radios, VCRs, DVRs, DVD players, microwave ovens, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, shredders, calculators, postage machines, cords, cables and other electronic office equipment.
