Fox Valley Park District upgrades its registration system

The Fox Valley Park District upgraded to a new registration system which launched May 7.

The new system requires each household set up an account in Foxlink. Once the account is established, there's no need to visit a facility to register. The new system provides each user with the ability to manage registration and payment info exclusively online.

The improved user experience also allows registrants to view and track activity schedules for each family member and access information on rental availability at various facilities and parks.

The park district is offering hundreds of programs and activities for youth, adults and seniors, ranging from sports to nature programs to performing arts and expanded offerings of health, wellness and fitness programs. For a complete listing, the Summer 2016 Activity Guide is available at all community centers and accessible online at www.foxvalleyparkdistrict.org.

Registration is taken in one of three ways:

• By Foxlink Internet: Allows convenient registration from anywhere, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit www.foxvalleyparkdistrict.org, click the Foxlink tab and establish your household account. Residency status will be verified by Geographic Information Systems; there is no need to visit a facility to show proof.

• By mail or drop off: Fill out a registration form and mail to FVPD, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, IL 60506. Make checks payable to Fox Valley Park District and mark "brochure registration" on the outside envelope.

• In person: Beginning at 8:30 a.m. May 7, registrations will be processed during regular business hours at the Prisco Community Center, Eola Community Center and Vaughan Athletic Center.

For resident families and individuals who are approved for the park district's scholarship program, registration is available on Saturday in-person at the community centers and beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, May 9, at the Cole Center, 101 W. Illinois Ave. in Aurora.

Nonresident registration will begin Monday, May 16. All registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and must be accompanied by payment.
