Girls soccer: Floro's goal sends Buffalo Grove to MSL title game

Buffalo Grove will playing in the Mid-Suburban League's girls soccer championship game.

The Bison punched their ticket to the Soccer Bowl in overtime on Friday.

Playing against Elk Grove, the Bison's Alyssa Floro scored the golden goal with an assist from Courtney Lee.

Lee also assisted on a goal by Georgette Topalis, as both Buffalo Grove and Elk Grove scored in the second half of regulation time.

Rachel Kandefer was in goal for Elk Grove, and Cassie Berman was in net for Buffalo Grove.

The Bison, who finish with a league record of 6-2-3, will play at West Division champion Barrington on Wednesday for the MSL crown.
