Northbrook accountant to join Gaming Board

Gov. Bruce Rauner has appointed a longtime suburban accountant to the Illinois Gaming Board.

The governor announced Friday Steven Dolins of Northbrook will join the board, which regulates Illinois casino gambling and the video machines in bars and restaurants.

The post pays a $300 per diem plus expenses.

Rauner's office said Dolins has been president of The Dolins Group, Ltd. and two CPA organizations.

His appointment is subject to Illinois Senate approval.
