Schaumburg Township hosts rummage sale, donation drive

Whether you're searching for bargains on useful items or trying to get rid of things rediscovered during a recent spring cleaning, Schaumburg Township's combined Community Rummage Sale and Donation Drive Fundraiser may be just what you're looking for.

The event will be held Saturday, May 14, in the parking lot of the Schaumburg Township building at the corner of Schaumburg Road and Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates.

The rummage sale portion is free and open to the public, running from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day.

Among the household items expected to be available for purchase are kitchen supplies, furniture, clothing, toys, books, tools, gardening supplies, antiques and collectibles.

The donation drive will then take over the parking lot from 2 to 5 p.m. Savers Thrift Store will be on hand to collect gently used clothing, shoes, linens, accessories and other household items.

For every pound of items donated, Savers will make a monetary donation to the Schaumburg Township Foundation.
