Run/walk to raise funds for scholarships

Help raise funds for scholarships at the Rosary High School Alumnae Association's 16th annual Road Scholars 5K Run/Walk Sunday, May 15, in Aurora.

The run starts at 9 a.m. at Rosary, 901 N. Edgelawn in Aurora. The 3.1-mile course is USATF-certified and goes through the west side streets of Aurora and returns to Rosary. The 5K Run/Walk can be a competition, a social event or a family gathering. All age groups are encouraged to participate.

Register by May 6. Forms can be found online at rosaryhs.com/5kRun, or at Rosary High School.

The fee for registration for individuals is $25 in advance/$30 on race day, $5 in advance/$10 on race day for students of Rosary or Marmion, and $75 in advance for a family of parents and children up to age 18 with a maximum of four participants. Registration includes a race T-shirt. Proceeds go toward scholarships for Rosary students.

Refreshments will be available following the race. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finisher and to the top three males and females by age group at the conclusion of the event. Strollers are allowed, but no roller blades, bicycles, or pets. The race will be held rain or shine.
