Tiger Trot 5K to benefit WDSRA

Runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels will gather Saturday, May 21, for the eighth annual Tiger Trot 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk sponsored by the Wiesbrook Elementary School PTA in Wheaton.

The Tiger Trot will step off at 7:30 a.m. from the school, 26W451 Durfee Road. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association, which provides community-based recreational programs for children, teens and adults with special needs.

The blacktop course runs through the Arrowhead and Legends subdivisions. The race starts and finishes at the school, where day-of registration also will take place and post-race concessions will be offered.

The Tiger Trot will be chip-timed. Results will be posted online at www.realtiminginc.com.

Registration costs are $14 per person, with a $42 per family cap. A select amount of T-shirts will be available on race day. Online registration is available at www.cusd200.org/wiesbrook.
