Palatine Park District hosts inaugural Volunteer Fair May 15

The Palatine Park District will host its inaugural Volunteer Fair on May 15 to inform residents about the wide range of opportunities to volunteer in the community.

The fair will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road, Palatine.

Staff members from a variety of park district departments will be on hand to discuss potential volunteer positions, from special events to office work to environmental assistance and more.

Discussion also will include the benefits of volunteering and the types of volunteer opportunities that are available for individuals, families, teams, businesses, Scouts and other youth groups, and community organizations.

The fair will feature raffle prizes, giveaways and light refreshments.
