Fremont Library Exhibit to Feature 13 Defining Chicago Events

A thought-provoking new exhibit that features 13 defining events in Chicago the summer of 2014 is currently on display at the Fremont Public library. An artist's reception and presentation will be held at the library on Wednesday, June 1, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

One Summer-Chicagoland: An Art Study in Public Unawareness by artist John P. Green and the Northwest Cultural Council features ink drawings and facts of 13 defining events that made headlines and shaped Chicago's experiences between June and September of 2014.

The events include the attack on the Aurora Air Traffic Control Center and the murder of Sheila von Wiese-Mack in Bali.

Meet the artist and browse his works on both floors of the library, then proceed to the main meeting room on the second floor for a PowerPoint presentation where the artist will talk about the 13 events that helped shape Chicago and its suburbs. Refreshments will be served. Green's artwork will be on display until early July.
