Stop by the 43rd annual Strawberry Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 340 Grand Blvd., Elgin.

The theme of the day is everything strawberry! Enjoy strawberry shortcake, strawberry sundaes, chocolate dipped strawberries. The cost for shortcake with beverage is $6; carryout is available. Buy strawberry jam or a baked item. Check out the flea market, Christmas room, and jewelry room.

There is the "Strawberry Patch" with one-of-a-kind works of art and great themed baskets. There are also crafts and a new and gently read Book Booth. You also can pick up some plants for your spring garden. There is something for everyone!

As it's the day before Mother's Day so do remember Mom when you are shopping!

Proceeds will benefit the church's Child Development Center, Ecker Center for Mental Health, YWCA Elgin, Hamilton Wings, Open Door Clinic, and PADS, as well as the church mission trip.
