Girls soccer: Huntley shuts out Dundee-Crown

It was the Ally Sunter-Taryn Jakubowski show in a 3-0 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division girls soccer win for Huntley over Dundee-Crown Tuesday.

Jakubowski scored twice in the second half off 2 Sunter assists while Sunter scorched a free kick in the 30th minute to get the scoring started in the first half for the Red Raiders (15-3-1, 3-1). Keeper Paige Renkosik needed 1 save for the shutout while her counterpart Taylor Gonio made 2 saves for the Chargers (5-9-1, 1-2).

South Elgin 1, West Aurora 0: In Upstate Eight Valley action, Corinne Hildebrandt's first half goal was all the Storm (8-7-2, 2-1) needed against the Blackhawks. Missy Greco was credited with an assist while keeper Jackie DeLaMora's 5 saves notched a shutout to stay 1 game back of Glenbard East in the loss column. After starting 0-3, the Storm have improved to 8-4-2 in their last 14 games.

Streamwood 4, Elgin 0: The Maroons (7-11, 1-3) scored all 4 goals in the second half of an Upstate Eight River win over the Sabers (7-10, 0-3). Makenna Downing and Guadalupe Sanchez both scored twice while Hayly Munoz, Brenda Acuna and Michelle Perez added 1 assist each. Goalie Hannah Erickson's 4 saves tallied a shutout while Yasmine Resendiz made 3 saves for Streamwood.

Sycamore 1, Kaneland 0: The Spartans' goal in the 15th minute staved off the Knights (13-4-1, 3-2-1) in a critical Northern Illinois Big XII East Division showdown.
