Attend Schaumburg's Free Environmental Fair on May 14

The Village of Schaumburg invites the public to attend its Environmental Fair that will be held on Saturday, May 14.

The event will take place from noon until 3 p.m. at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. The event is free and open to all ages.

Participants will learn how to join the community in protecting the environment. Tables with information will be available in the lobby and participants can attend a variety of workshops throughout the day. This year's topics include using rain as a resource, inviting nature to your yard with native landscaping and building a birdhouse. Participants can also take part in an organic food cooking demonstration by chefs from Season's 52 restaurant.

Donations will also be accepted for Habitat for Humanity ReStore Collection and Recycling Avenue.

The event is co-sponsored by the Village of Schaumburg's Environmental Committee and the Schaumburg Township District Library.
