Hanover Park to use wells while pipe is fixed

On Monday, May 2, the Northwest Suburban Municipal Joint Action Water Agency will shut down its water connection to the Village of Hanover Park in order to repair a pipe. The repair is expected to take 72 hours and during this time the village will use backup wells and an interconnect with the Roselle. Hanover Park has more than 6 million gallons of water in aerial and ground storage, and the water will be safe for use at all times, officials say, although residents may notice the water to be harder and cloudier than usual. The village expects water pressure to remain steady. Direct questions to the Public Works Department, at (630) 823-5700.
