Decline of technology innovator is frightening

There is a sad transformation taking place in Schaumburg at this moment. A once-great company called Motorola is basically fading out of existence.

By the end of this year, there probably will not be anything to speak of left at this campus. Only two buildings will be left and the rest torn down.

How a great company like this got into this situation is mind boggling. To go from 140,000 employees to approximately 20,000 in 15 years should frighten a lot of people.

I realize this is not the first company for this to happen to, but it is happening too frequently in this country.

A once-great innovator of technology to fade away is one sad story. At one time we were known over the world, but now people just say "who?"
