PCTEL chairman joins UIC advisory board

BLOOMINGDALE - PCTEL Chairman and CEO Marty Singer has joined the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Engineering Advisory Board.

The Engineering Advisory Board comprises leaders from government, industry, and academia. The board assists the college in the development of long-term strategic plans, solicits funding to upgrade and support research and instructional laboratories, supports ongoing research, scholarships, and chaired professorships, supports career placement, and participates in Industry Days.

"It is a privilege to serve on UIC's School of Engineering Advisory Board and to support the institution's mission of developing the next generation of technologists to support innovation in Illinois and around the country," said Marty Singer, PCTEL's Chairman and CEO. "UIC's unparalleled success in providing a first-class engineering education to Chicago's diverse population deserves the support of the region's technology companies. PCTEL is proud to be actively engaged," added Singer.

"We are delighted that Marty is joining our Advisory Board," said Dr. Peter Nelson, UIC's Dean of the College of Engineering and is the Director of UIC's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. "PCTEL's support and the insight of our region's technology and business leaders are essential to enhancing the relevance of our program and opportunities for our students," added Nelson.
