Man charged with killing 2 residents of senior apartment

LYONS, Ill. (AP) - A resident of a suburban Chicago senior housing complex has been charged with murder in the stabbing deaths of two other residents.

John Arnold is accused in the deaths early Sunday of 73-year-old David Bosseler and a 51-year-old woman whose identity is being withheld by Lyons, Illinois authorities pending notification of relatives.

Police spokesman Ray Hanania said Tuesday the victims were found Monday at Riverwalk Senior Residences.

Hanania says Bosseler and the woman knew Arnold, and they were in a dispute about missing property. Arnold was able to gain entry to Bosseler's apartment early Sunday and attacked the victims with a large knife.

Hanania says Arnold told police he believed Bosseler took the property. Arnold is scheduled to appear Wednesday morning for a bond hearing in Cook County Circuit Court.
