At the Knights Invite at Prospect, Lake Zurich fell just short in the championship game, losing to Prospect, 2-1.

Becca Kubin scored the Bears' only goal while goalie Madison Hart had 5 saves.

In the semifinal, Lake Zurich shut out Champaign Central, 8-0.

Emily Udelhoven, Abby Mulderink and Kristin Brousseau each had 2 goals.

Brousseau also had 3 assists, as did Maddie Piggott.

Hart had 1 save.

Lake Zurich is now 9-3-1 on the season.

Antioch at Freeport: At the Freeport tournament, Antioch finished 2-1 and won both of its games on Saturday.

Antioch defeated Rockford Auburn 2-0 and defeated Stillman Valley, 8-0.

Against Auburn, Rachel Moore and Courtney Coleman each scored for the Sequoits.

Goalie Monica Wilhelm had 3 saves.

Against Stillman, Courtney Coleman had 3 goals and an assist while Morgan Keefer had 2 goals.

Christina Michaels finished with 3 assists and Rachel Moore added 2 assists.

Coleman now has 18 goals and 7 assists on the season and Wilhelm recorded her eight shutout in goal this season.

Antioch is now 7-5-4.
