Mental health advocate to speak at Lake Bluff event

On Thursday, May 5, Kelly O'Brien, director of The Kennedy Forum Illinois, will deliver the keynote address at Youth and Family Counseling's Food For Thought Luncheon, noon to 1:45 p.m., at the Knollwood Club in Lake Bluff. O'Brien is a mental health advocate who will speak on the important work that lies ahead to make mental health care more accessible and reduce the stigma of mental illness that prevents so many from seeking help. The Kennedy Forum is an organization founded by Patrick Kennedy and dedicated to changing attitudes and practices in order to end stigma against mental health and substance use disorders.
