Thanks for nice stories about vets

I had to comment on your recent front page story regarding "To Veteran's Aid." It isn't often you read such a heartwarming story and it was wonderful how they were able to surprise veteran Len Butler.

I love these articles about veterans because we are a military family. My husband, now also deceased, served for 10 years in the Navy aboard a nuclear sub. My oldest grandson enlisted in the Army while a senior at Dundee Drown when a recruiter visited the school, which was right after 9/11. His younger brother also served fox six years in the Marine Corps.

What our military is subjected to fighting in foreign lands cannot be depicted accurately in the movies they make. If they were truly accurate, no one would want to see it. All of our military serving at any time certainly deserve our full support.

Thanks to Katlyn Smith for the great article and many, many thanks to all the veterans who were able to come to the aid of Len Butler.
