Lucky Star to open in ex-Cadillac Ranch Saturday in Bartlett

A new mechanical bull and the promise of more live music will usher in the grand opening of Bartlett's "new country" bar Lucky Star Saturday, April 23.

The former Cadillac Ranch, at 1175 W. Lake Street, was known by locals for its line dancing and late hours. The bar closed March 26 for renaming and rebranding.

Since the business' owner, Schaumburg-based Ala Carte Entertainment, closed Cadillac Ranch, crews have installed new dance floors, new lighting and a new sound system.

The intent was to shift the focus from older country music and line dancing to newer country and pop artists in a venue with more seating, Jim Earley, corporate general manager for Ala Carte Entertainment, said in March.

Kristian Bush of the country band Sugarland will perform Saturday during the grand opening after country cover band Hey Cowboy opens the night at 8:30 p.m.

Plans are for the venue to host live county music performances every Friday and DJed music sets every Saturday.

Lucky Star will host a "sneak peek" of the venue Friday, April 22, starting at 8 p.m. Country cover band Dixie Crush will play Friday at 10 p.m.

Lucky Star will be open Thursday through Saturday 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
