Young Naperville Singers (YNS) Host French Canadian Boys Choir!

Last weekend the Boys Choir and Young Men's Chorus from Young Naperville Singers hosted the French Canadian boys choir, Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval. The visit entailed an evening of rehearsing together learning new pieces, including some in French, a dinner getting to know one another and a beautiful combined concert. It is very difficult to put into words how amazing this type of experience is. All of the boys gave an incredible concert and the YNS boys had the opportunity to make new friends from another part of the world. The sound of 100+ boys singing in French together was unforgettable as was the experience of getting to know our 52 visiting boys. The YNS boy's families opened their homes to home stay the guests. One parent said this,

"We had a lovely time with our 4 guests... Despite our language barriers we bonded over our common love for music. We spent time talking and singing at night. They brought us beautiful gifts and touching notes... They only stayed for few hours but it was so hard to see them leave...Thanks to YNS for giving us this awesome opportunity - it was truly a special and memorable experience for all of us."
