Girls soccer: Lakes blanks Richmond-Burton

Molly Bakrins and Peyton Landy each had 6 saves in net to share the shutout, as Lakes' girls soccer team edged Richmond-Burton 1-0 in the Eagles' tournament on Wednesday.

Lindsey Smith scored midway through the second half on an assist by Casey Moczynski, helping the Eagles improve to 3-5-4.

Mundelein 2, Grayslake North 0: The Mustangs scored twice in the second half in dropping the Knights to 7-3-2.

"While we had moments in which we put Mundelein under pressure, our purpose in our possession wasn't as good as it has been and we were caught on the counter attack on several occasions," Grayslake North coach Adam DeCaluwe said.
