St. Francis 14, St. Joseph 6:
A 6-run top of the first got the ball rolling as the Spartans (16-1, 7-1) won for the ninth straight time. Mike Beach homered and drove in 4 runs. Foster Heise went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Tommy Mayor was the winning pitcher.
Neuqua Valley 12, WW South 7:
The Wildcats (8-6, 5-5) rolled in DuPage Valley play as Kevin Ringlein went 4-for-5 and James Gargano and Will Drake each drove in 4 runs. Justin Hicks picked up the win and Jake Dupre pitched 2-plus innings of relief. Drew Polezoes went 2-for-4 for WW South (5-8, 3-7).
Montini 7, Marmion 6:
The Broncos (12-6, 3-5) trailed 6-2 before scoring 3 runs in the fifth and 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth. After Ben Steiner doubled home the tying run, Jake Rosley, the winning pitcher in relief of Alex Luka, singled in the go-ahead run. Jack Gerberich went 3-for-4.
Metea Valley 2, Wheaton North 1:
The Mustangs (8-7, 4-6) made a 2-run fourth-inning hold up in DuPage Valley Conference play. Winning pitcher Joey Coryell and Trey Long combined on the mound. Conner Lovely and Blake Nicolls each had 2 hits. Casey Becker went 2-for-3 for Wheaton North (9-5, 5-2).
Naperville North 4, Lake Park 3:
Matt Schwartz went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for the Huskies (5-7, 3-4) in their DuPage Valley Conference win. Jack Whitley pitched into the seventh inning to earn the win. Matt Pillatsch coaxed the final out with a strikeout.
Addison Trail 6, Glenbard West 5:
Trailing 5-1 in the fifth inning, the Blazers (7-7) rallied with 5 runs in the bottom of the inning. Ricky Perez went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI while Robert Baughmann drove in 2 runs. Bobby Daniels won in relief and Nick Villasenor picked up the save. Gus Kalivas went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for Glenbard West (5-10).
Wheaton Academy 12, Elmwood Park 1:
Christian Ebeling homered and drove in 3 runs to lead the Warriors (8-7, 4-2) in Metro Suburban Conference play. Adam Marquardt was the winning pitcher. Glenbard South 14, Timothy Christian 13:
Kyle Zygadto's RBI single in the bottom of the seventh won the Metro Suburban matchup for the Raiders (7-8, 5-4). Lucas Lorusso went 5-for-6 with a home runs. Sean Cooke had 4 hits. Joey Gedwill was the winning pitcher with 3 innings of relief. Noah Marrera went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI for Timothy Christian (9-6, 6-3).
