McFun for Waterbury McTeachers

On Tuesday, April 19, Waterbury School held a McTeacher's Night fundraiser at the McDonald's in Hanover Park to raise money for the Waterbury PTO.

The Waterbury McTeacher's Night was a fun way to bring the Waterbury teachers together and have the opportunity to meet the parents of students and members of the community, all while raising funds for the school PTO. And what a wonderful night Waterbury had, as the restaurant was full of families supporting the school as well as waiting to see their teachers, friends, Ronald McDonald and a special performance by the Waterbury Chorus.

Teachers had so much fun at this community event where they were able to interact with families and students. An amazing 31 teachers worked from the school including Principal Guzan. Retired teacher Karla O'Malley even came back and donated her time and put on the pie box costume and help Waterbury. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, working the drive-thru, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, and serving ice cream.

Waterbury McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a great evening. The school plans to use the money raised to go into the PTO fund to help the school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the McDonald's in Hanover Park. Special thank-you goes to Waterbury Principal, Deb Guzan, who organized the entire event.
