Naperville Dist. 203 studying school calendar

Naperville Unit District 203 hired a consultant to conduct a survey about the school calendar and school day structure, something the district hasn't done since 2011, Superintendent Dan Bridges said.

The school board unanimously approved an $18,800 base contract with K-12 Insight to conduct a "thorough analysis of how to best structure time in the school day and school year to maximize student learning and professional collaboration."

The cost could increase up to $30,500 depending on the scope of work administrators choose. Survey results will help administrators and school board members determine if the community wants any changes to the school day or school year.
