Body found in Batavia park; no foul play suspected

A body was found in a Batavia park Tuesday, but police do not suspect foul play.

An autopsy was scheduled Wednesday on the body of Timothy A. Wright, 38, of Batavia.

According to Batavia police, someone called at 12:29 p.m. to report a man, not breathing, at a baseball field at Clark Island Park, 420 S. River St.

Emergency workers determined Wright was dead.

Wright's last known address was in the 0-99 block of South Lincoln St. Police believe he was homeless, and had been sleeping in the park at the time of his death.

Police say there is no danger to the public.

According to Kane County court records, Wright was arrested by Batavia police on a charge of retail theft Sunday, and released on a recognizance bond.
