Friendship Park Conservatory hosts annual Plant Sale May 7

Flowers and plants soothe the soul, delight the senses and add natural beauty to our home and garden. Stop in from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, for the Mount Prospect Park District Conservatory's annual plant sale. The Friendship Park Conservatory is located at 395 W. Algonquin Road, in Des Plaines.

Enjoy extended hours while choosing plants that enhance your home's natural beauty. The stunning green setting of the Friendship Park Conservatory offers much inspiration for your home garden. The conservatory greenhouse- grown plants, appeal to all gardeners whether beginner or seasoned "green thumb". Master Gardeners will be available to answer all questions. Varieties include both premium sun and shade annuals and perennials with many Proven Winners. Enjoy 10 varieties of tomato plants and an assorted variety of peppers and herbs. Choose from a colorful mix of hybrid dahlias, over 50 hanging baskets, succulents, individual plants, planters and more. Plant your garden and the resulting beauty will pay you back all summer long.
