Lake County employers experience exceptional job growth.

Mundelein, IL (April 7, 2016) - As predicated by the Q2 2016 Manpower Employment Outlook Survey for the United States, job growth is being experienced by employers in Lake County, IL. To assist in this increase in the workforce, Manpower is hosting a Hiring Event offering over 125 new job opportunities in Lake County for all categories from warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, maintenance mechanics, office support and call center.

Manpower's Hiring Event Extravaganza will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Mundelein, IL from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm due to growth of employment opportunities in the Lake Forest, Vernon Hills, Mundelein, Libertyville, and Wauconda areas. A large majority of these positions are Temp to Hire and immediate start dates are available. There will be on-the-spot interviews conducted and firm job offers will be made on the day of the event. A bilingual Spanish/English recruiter will be available too. Resumes will be reviewed to determine immediate job placements.

According to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey for Quarter 2 2016, employers expect to hire at a strong pace. Among employers surveyed, 26 percent plan to hire more employees from April through June. This number is offset by the 3 percent that plan to reduce payrolls, while 71 percent of employers expect to maintain current staff levels. This yields a Net Employment Outlook of 23%.

"Local employers anticipate a stronger hiring pace compared to Q1 2016 when the Net Employment Outlook was 19%," said Manpower spokesperson Todd Filter, Market Vice President for Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey is conducted quarterly to measure employers' intentions to increase or decrease the number of employees in their workforces during the next quarter. The Manpower Employment Outlook Survey's United States results are based on interviews with 11,000 employers located in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, which includes the largest 100 Metropolitan Statistical Areas based on number of business establishments. The mix of industries within the survey follows the North American Industry Classification System Supersectors and is structured to be representative of the U.S. economy.
