Congregation Kneseth Israel celebrates Passover

Passover, the Jewish Holiday of Liberation from slavery in Egypt, begins at sundown Friday, April 22.

Families will host Seders in their homes and there will be no Shabbat service at Congregation Kneseth Israel, 330 Division St. in Elgin. Saturday Shabbat services begin at 9:30 a.m. A Community Seder will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday. Reservations are required.

No Torah school will be held on Sunday morning.

On Saturday, April 30, the holiday will conclude with the Shabbat service at 9:30 a.m., including Yizkor, the memorial service.
