Wildlife center to host Barn Sale

The Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn is in need of gently used items for its Barn Sale fundraiser. These tax-deductible donations help the wildlife in the center's care.

Items may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, April 23-May 7, or noon to 3 p.m. Fridays, May 6 and 13, at 39 Walnut Circle in Sugar Grove's Presbury subdivision.

Acceptable items include musical instruments, costumes, kitchen and entertaining items, antiques and collectibles, art, clean bath items and towels, clean bedding and blankets, bird feeders and bird baths, books, CDs, DVDs, records, foreign money, garden items and yard art, interesting jewelry, toys, games and puzzles, knickknacks, luggage, patio furniture, pet items, sporting equipment, clean table linen, tools, indoor or outdoor and wooden furniture. Call about large furniture.

Items that will not be accepted include infant or youth car seats, adult clothing or shoes, electronics, large appliances, corporate coffee mugs, reference or text books, VHS tapes or car parts.

The center's annual Barn & Plant Sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at 39 Walnut Circle in Sugar Grove's Presbury Subdivision.
