Thrivent Action Team helps out at NorthPointe Resources

Submitted by NorthPointe Resources, Inc.

Thrivent Financial of Gurnee and their family members volunteered their time recently on a Friday afternoon at NorthPointe Resources - a not-for-profit provider of developmental disability and behavioral health services - to help beautify the Killian Center on Sheridan Road in Zion.

The group calls themselves the "Thrivent Action Team" and is committed to giving back to the community by volunteering frequently throughout Lake County's nonprofit agencies.

At NorthPointe Resources, some of the volunteers kept busy painting the boardroom, while others sorted donated clothing. Thrivent Action Team leader William Blanck was joined by his wife, son, and in-laws. Scott Smith and his wife Linda also participated. The Thrivent Action Team brought lunch for the volunteers and T-shirts for distribution to NorthPointe program participants and staff.

"We are so thankful for the stellar paint job and volunteer services provided by the Thrivent Action Team," said Deb Rabine, director of development at NorthPointe Resources. "Volunteer groups continue to be an integral and respected part of the success that drives the ability of NorthPointe Resources to provide outstanding supports and services for people with disabilities and mental illness."
