Consumers Credit Union elects board members

WAUKEGAN - Consumers Credit Union elected four members to its board of director at the agency's 86th annual meeting at Key Lime Cove Resort in Gurnee.

Ann Campanella, Joseph Rajcevich, Michael Raysakis and Frank Soyka were elected to serve three-year terms on the CCU board. Other board members include Nancy Anderson, Alice Clements, Denise Charts, Leslee Johnson, Spiro Giotis, James Mahnich, Kenneth Robinson, and John R. Janezic.

All members of the board are unpaid, one of the key differences between credit unions and banks.

Directors selected to serve on the CCU Executive Committee for 2016 during the first regular monthly board meeting following the annual meeting. The executive committee consists of John R. Janezic, chairman; Ann Campanella, vice-chair; Alice Clements, treasurer; Denise Charts, secretary; and Joseph Rajcevich, chair of the supervisory committee.

Those attending the annual meeting received a comprehensive update on the member-owned Credit Union's 2015 performance. During his remarks, Consumers Credit Union CEO Sean Rathjen also outlined plans for 2016.

"CCU enjoyed a wonderful turnout for our 86th annual meeting. It certainly is a fine example of the active participation from the members we serve," said Rathjen. "The support we receive with each passing year is paramount to our overall success.

"We'd like to thank the many elected officials, community leaders and business partners who attended our annual meeting and we're very excited to begin working with our newly elected board of directors and the 2016 Executive Committee," he added. "These leaders play a crucial role in driving both our past and present accomplishments."
