Maple Trails Park Opening

Maple Trails Park offers the ideal space for new athletic courts. The redesign park allows the community to participate in unique recreational activities for all ages and abilities through ADA complaint playground equipment. Maple Trails Park includes walking/cycling paths, gazebo, along with a basketball, volleyball and futsal courts.

The district designed these plans from scratch in a way that would be perfect for a middle sized basketball court, caged rail system for futsal with built-in goals and a volleyball court with new artificial turf. The River Trails Park District knows Maple Trails Park and paths are enjoyed by many businesses in the Kensington Business Center. It's a great place to spend a lunch hour or a nice day outdoors. All you simply need is a basketball, volleyball or soccer ball to get out and be active.

Maple Trails Park will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that will include guests from the River Trails Park District Board of Commissioners and staff, Mount Prospect Mayor Arlene A. Juracek and Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce. The Opening Celebration will also include activities and light refreshments.

Maple Trails Park is located in Kensington Business Center on 871 Feehanville Drive, Mount Prospect, IL 60056. River Trails Park added new amenities to make the park more complete and offer diverse interests to everyone. River Trails Park District has a five year Comprehensive Master Plan that serves as a guide to prioritizing projects around the district.
