Prescription drug collection events April 30

Grayslake police and the Drug Enforcement Administration will collect unwanted prescription drugs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Grayslake Police Department, 10 S. Seymour Ave., and at the Hainesville Village Hall, 100 Hainesville Road. Police say the effort is aimed at preventing pill abuse and theft by giving residents an opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The collection targets only pills and patches as the DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
