Waubonsie Valley 11, Glenbard North 0:

The Warriors (7-2, 2-1) cruised to the five-inning DuPage Valley Conference victory behind Brandon Petersen, who struck out three, walked one and allowed 3 hits. Nick Santoro, Nick Price, Luke Gregorio and Will Isdell had 2 RBI apiece.

Glenbard East 8, Wheaton North 3:

Michael Sebby (3-0) allowed only 3 hits and struck out 11 as the Rams (6-3) won in nonconference action. Ryan Schefske, Jack Moran, Richard Masciopinto and Nathan Bertuca all drove in 2 runs. Erik Mueller had 2 hits for Wheaton North (4-2).

Lake Park 7, WW South 1:

The Lancers (6-1, 2-1) opened up a 4-0 lead after an inning in the DuPage Valley Conference matchup. That was plenty of support for winning pitcher Connor Cook, who allowed 4 hits and struck out 11 in 6 innings. Jim McDonald went 2-for-3 for Lake Park. Jordan Coakley had 2 hits for WW South (2-3, 0-2).

Metea Valley 10, Naperville North 0:

The Mustangs (4-3, 1-2) ended the DuPage Valley Conference game by scoring 7 runs in the bottom of the fifth. Anthony Greco drove in 3 runs while Bobby Fahrenkopf added 2 RBI. Winning pitcher Matt Vass struck out nine, walked none and allowed 3 hits.

Willowbrook 5, Leyden 3:

Mark Molitor and Danny Olson had 2 hits as the Warriors (3-4, 1-0) won in the West Suburban Gold. Matt Pizur pitched 5 innings to earn the win and Cam Zunkel notched the save.

York 5, Glenbard West 4:

Matt Riecker drove in the game-winning run for the Dukes (3-4, 1-1) with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning of the West Suburban Silver game. York sent the game to extra innings in the seventh on Frank Romano's run-scoring double. Kevin Spencer went 3-for-4 with a homer for Glenbard West (1-5, 0-1).

IC Catholic Prep 6, Glenbard South 3:

Matt Sutton homered twice as the Knights (9-6, 2-1) won the Metro Suburban West series opener. Brian Herrera was the winning pitcher.

Downers North 8, Addison Trail 4:

Alan Janowiak went 3-for-4 and Brendan Shanahan added 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Trojans (3-6). Dallton Baran was the winning pitcher in relief of James Krick.

Downers South 12, Morton 1:

The Mustangs (5-2, 2-0) broke open the West Suburban Gold game with 4 runs in the fifth inning and 5 runs in the sixth. Mike Hall doubled three times and drove in 4 runs. Danny Oriente went 3-for-3 and scored 3 runs. Zack Jones was the winning pitcher.

Timothy Christian 12, Elmwood Park 6:

Josh Anderson went 3-for-4 and Jimmy Brush had 2 hits and 3 RBI for the Trojans (5-3, 2-0) in their Metro Suburban East victory. Jimmy Allen won on the mound.
