Shelter founders to speak at Lake Zurich Rotary meeting

The founders of Green Pup Shelter will speak at the Lake Zurich Rotary meeting at 12:15 p.m. Friday at the Foglia YMCA, 1025 N. Old McHenry Road, Lake Zurich. Green Pup Shelter officials will bring several adoptable dogs to show members. After the meeting, the dogs will also visit preschool classes at the YMCA. The shelter is called Green Pup because its motto is "Adopt a Recycled Dog." Founded just over two years ago, it is staffed by all volunteers and relies on foster homes to socialize the dogs while they wait for their new homes. It is a nonprofit, no-kill dog rescue. Lake Zurich Rotary meets every Friday at the Foglia YMCA. Lunch for prospective members is free.
