Route 47 intersection to be closed this weekend

Starting the evening of Friday, April 8, through Monday, April 11, Route 47 will be closed to traffic from Ramm Road to McDonald Road in order to install culvert crossings across Route 47.

The improvement is part of the construction of a new roundabout at this intersection.

Construction work hours will be from 10 p.m. Friday, April 8 to 4 a.m. Monday, April 11, weather permitting.

The roadway improvements will include removal and installation of new cross culverts on Route 47.

A posted detour route will direct traffic around the closure using Route 64 and Burlington Road to the south, Dittman Road and Plato Road to the north.

Local traffic only will be permitted within the road closure.

Motorists should be advised to follow the posted detour route around the project and to expect increase travel times.
