Free alcohol-abuse screenings at CLC

College of Lake County will offer free alcohol-abuse screenings from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at its Grayslake campus. The college's health and wellness center is sponsoring the free, anonymous screenings as part of National Alcohol Screening Day. The initiative will be in Anderson Court and is open to anyone in the community. The screenings will include an educational presentation on alcohol abuse, completion of a questionnaire and a one-on-one, confidential consultation with a professional from the Lake County Health Department. Referrals to local treatment and support resources will be available for those who need further evaluation. Appointments are not necessary.
