Fair to celebrate National Library Week, April 10

The Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave., will host a Library Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, to kickoff National Library Week, April 10-16.

The fair will feature displays, demonstrations, and a video blast from the past. Attendees will have a chance to win small prizes by answering trivia questions. Employees from all of the library departments will be on hand, as well as members of the Library, Friends, and Foundation boards.

Individual library departments will be featured during National Library Week. On Monday, Adult Services will find and print tax forms for free; some restrictions apply.

Tuesday is Youth Services Day, there will be a drop-in craft and scavenger hunt on the lower level from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On Wednesday, meet the library director and take a behind-the-scenes library tour from 10 to 11 a.m., 2 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.

On Thursday, Circulation Services, the hub of the library, will be featured. Free refreshments will be offered on Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the conference room.
