Sanfratello's Pizza opens in Naperville

Sanfratello's Pizza, which got its start on Chicago's South Side in 1969, opened Wednesday in Naperville. The new pizzeria, which serves square-cut, tavern-style pizza, offers takeout and delivery. "Sanfratello's is the only pizzeria that still uses the original South side combination of scamorza cheese, Chicago meats and a scratch-made Sicilian sauce that lets the flavor of the tomatoes shine through," Joe Sanfratello Jr. said in a prepared statement. Emmett's dinner series

Five courses plus four beers plus a brewery tour: Must be the start of Emmett's Brewmaster Dinner Series on Thursdays in April. The evening starts with a beer reception at 6:30 p.m. that includes tours of the brewery and explanations of the brewing process from the brewers. During dinner, which includes king crab claw, spring greens, strawberry rhubarb sorbet, smoked pork medallions and chocolate roulade, the chefs and brewers will explain the food and beer pairings.
