Baseball: Lake Park, Montini, St. Francis win on the road

Lake Park 9, R.J. Reynolds, N.C. 8:

After scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh on Dom Fallico's bases-clearing double to send the game to extra innings in South Carolina, the unbeaten Lancers (4-0) drove in the game-winning run on Colin Fowich's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. Fowich went 3-for-5 while Connor Cook, Michael Nielsen and Colin Jamison had 2 hits apiece. Nielsen was the winning pitcher in relief.

Montini 11, Willoughby, Ohio 0:

The Broncos (7-1) outhit their opponent 11-2 and scored 8 runs in the first two innings of a five-inning victory in Florida. Ben Steiner tripled and drove in 5 runs. Justin Blake went 3-for-4 with Nick Malik adding 2 hits. Winning pitcher Bruno Bodnum struck out four over 4 innings.

St. Francis 10, Boardman, Ohio 4:

The Spartans improved to 5-0 after breaking out to a 10-0 lead by the third inning. Brett Whelton drove in 3 runs and Tim Sullivan went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Colin Wisted improved to 3-0 on the mound.
