Two historical and biographical lectures on the notorious Chicago mob will be held at the Bloomingdale Public Library

Join us at the Bloomingdale Public Library on Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday May 3rd from 7-8pm for two consecutive special events which focus on the deadly history of the infamous Chicago mob during its heyday in the roaring 1920s.

On Monday, May 2nd author and film maker, Genevieve Davis will give a talk and show clips from her biographical film Secret Life, Secret Death, the true story of her grandmother's involvement with Chicago gangsters and she will tell us how she discovered the hidden truth through genealogical research.

Then on Tuesday, May 3rd Dr. Wayne Johnson, a former suburban Police Chief and now professor at Harper College, will give his talk "A History of Chicago Mob Murders." Dr. Johnson has appeared in numerous documentaries for the History Channel, the Discovery Channel and the Biography Channel.
