Music at Imago

You'll find more than movies at Judson University's Imago Film Festival in Elgin. Attendees can catch a pair of musical performances, too. Citizen Way, Christian pop-rockers who met at Judson, just released a second album and are currently on tour with the “MercyMe Spring Tour 2016.” The band will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 1, at the Thulin Performance Hall at JU. Elgin-based hard-rocking post-metal Raze the Darkness, winners of Judson's Battle of the Bands in February, will perform at the festival's finale at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in the Thompson Center. Sweet home, Chicago

Two Chicago-born bands are having a homecoming of sorts at the United Center Friday, April 1. Back in 2015, funk-leaning rock band Earth, Wind & Fire combined forces with jazzy rockers Chicago for the “Heart and Soul Tour,” featuring each band's greatest hits and culminating in a finale when the bands play on stage together. The show was a hit, so the Grammy Award-winning bands decided the world needed another dose. Catch them as the “Heart and Soul 2.0” tour makes a hometown stop at the United Center, 1901 W.
