Round Lake shuts out Wheeling

Freshman Alexandria Wawrzyniak had a first-half goal to help Round Lake's girls soccer team pick up a 2-0 victory over host Wheeling on Monday in a nonconference matchup.

Senior forward Michelle Hernandez also scored for the Panthers.

• Junior Kayla Keck had 2 goals and Soph Spinell also scored for visiting Barrington, but the Fillies came up short 4-3 against Waubonsie Valley in nonconference play.

• A second-half goal from Myah Strokosch helped Mundelein grab a 1-0 victory over host Rolling Meadows in a matchup of Mustangs.
